In Mi Fit open Mi Band 6 settings and swipe down, there is "Lab" option -5th from the bottom-, you should connect with it. Camera shutter is not working with normal connection. I know this post is old and you probably don't care anymore, but at least with me you have to go to Mi Fit > Camera > Connect and connect the Mi Band to bluetooth.
